DADT Repeal Passes!

December 18th, 2010, marks a monumental occurrence in history. The Senate voted, 65-31, to end the 17 year ban on gays and lesbians in the military. I still feel like people are yet to realize what a rippling effect this will have on Civil Rights in our country. One hundred years from now, some child will be reading about this event in their interactive history classroom of the future and go, "wait...gay people couldn't fight in the army? why?" Very cool.
